Educating children is a Kenyan’s dream to begin to eradicate poverty but many families cannot afford education.
£5 ($10CAD*) pays for a child’s compulsory school uniform
Basic provisions for a widowed, elderly or disabled person includes rice, oil, salt (basic flavouring), flour (posho) and soap.
£10 ($19CAD*) buys provisions for a month, £60 ($114CAD*)= 6 months, £120 ($228CAD) = 1 year
It may seem like a token gesture, but owning livestock is both food and hope for a better future.
£20 ($38CAD*) buys a red Kalahari goat for provisions or breeding
Planting and working the ground is the major source of food in many regions of Kenya.
£25 ($48CAD*) buys a 90 kg sack of corn seed for planting
Rarely do small church communities get to fellowship with one another over food, as it is not affordable.
£50 ($95CAD*) buys a meal for a local church community (of 30 people)
Payment for schooling is compulsory. Many families pray that the Lord will provide money for their children to be educated.

People want to work and become self-sustaining. An incubator can make a difference by providing a monthly wage.

Often pastors have to work outside of the church but either can’t find jobs or, in addition, can’t care for their church community.
