Project Nguzo
We work on the ground with Hope Empower, Impact CBO and the Africa Initiative for Rural Development NGO to improve the lives of people living in the Bungoma region of Kenya.
One of these initiatives, Project Nguzo, raises awareness of the widowed men and women of Kenya who are not able to earn a living for themselves. Widows and widowers are supplied with basic monthly food and hygiene provisions, including rice, sugar, oil, salt and soap. For only £10 ($19CAD) per month, you can support someone in need in Kenya .
Judith (not her real name) had, what she thought was, a huge goiter on her face for 10 years. This had resulted in a lot of pain, including a jaw dislocation. The shame and ridicule that she and her children received was significant, but something they had learnt to bear so well. Judith was widowed at a young age and, with her children, was living off provision from others. Through donations, Invictus Kingdom Ministries paid £390 to have an operation to remove what turned out to be a tumour – and now Judith’s life has been completely transformed!
